Discount Toner Cartridge

Discount Toner Cartridge

Discount ink cartridges and toner cartridges are in great demand these days. As a result of fall in value, small business owners and many families can find a discount laser printer for under $200 and an inkjet / photo printer for under $100. Increased amount of printer property implies that there is a bigger aftermarket for printing supplies.

Nonetheless, consumers who bought an inexpensive printer would soon figure out that their spending didn’t stop there, but rather have just begun. For examples, several OEM laser toners can sell at $100 a bit, exactly the same value of an inkjet printer or one-half of that for a discount laser printer. A family who print lots of color photographs with their photo printer can very quickly spend more than $100 on OEM ink cartridges in many months. Consider this, it is absurd that you might spend more on replacement cartridges than on the printer itself such a short period of time. As a result, many individuals are looking for inexpensive alternatives to expensive OEM tubes.

You can find two main categories of discount ink cartridges and toner cartridges in the market these days: appropriate cartridges and remanufactured cartridges. Suitable cartridges will also be called generic cartridges. They’re manufactured using the same specification of name brand cartridges but minus the brand name. These cartridges are offered at one-half or one-third of the price of OEM cartridges.

On another hand, re-manufactured cartridges are high end cartridges that have been through one cycle of service. They’re usually disassembled, washed, repaired and re-filled before delivering to the market again. Customers who buy re-manufactured cartridges aren’t only concerned with the purchase price, but their benefit to the environment too. One customer was quoted saying ‘I choose the re-manufactured HP cartridges because it is wonderful for the environment. The reduced value is a bonus.’

Refilling Your Toner Cartridge

There are refill kits that you can purchase to refill your toner cartridge, and you will find that they are actually cheaper than buying a brand new toner. This is usually an injector kit that uses toner, and with it you will inject the toner into the toner cartridge. Once this is done, you will be able to use the printer again normally. Many people have noted that the toner refills are about 35% cheaper than new toner cartridges, meaning they are without a doubt a worthy investment.

Must Know Facts About Toner Cartridges of Toner Refills

Hi, I have a Brother mono laser which has a handy setting in the HTML interface to tell the printer to always continue printing no matter the toner state. This means I can take out the toner, fill it up, and chuck it back in without messing with gears or chips and it keeps right on printing. I've done 2 years and nearly 15000 pages with one toner cartridge so far and I'm very happy with this setup.

Now I'm looking for a colour duplex laser and ideally I'd like the same simplicity. Does anyone know of a colour laser printer which can be refilled without chips/gears? Or does anyone know if Brother colour laser printers have the same setting in their HTML interface? I've also posted a similar question in the Brother printers forum asking owners if they'll check for me, but I thought I'd ask here too in case someone knows already.

5 Warning Signs to Stay Away from Toner Refills

Are you contemplating to buy toner refills? Initially this might seem to be a good idea, mainly because it’s cheap, but toner refills can end up costing you dearly.

Here are 5 warning signs to be aware of before you buy toner refills:
Health problems

Toner is toxic stuff, folks. Made from a fine powder-like plastic substance it can easily enter your respiratory tract if you breathe it in while using a toner refill kit. Inhaling toner can cause upper respiratory tract infections or skin reactions, ranging from mild to severe, if you’re allergic to the powder. Brand new OEM’s or compatible and remanufactured cartridges that are newly manufactured don’t have these problems.

Durability

Here’s the thing with toner refills – with at home kits or refilled toner available on the net you only get a cartridge refilled with toner, but that’s about it. In order for a toner cartridge to work properly you need to make sure that all the internal components are functioning properly. This includes the drum, roller, fuser etc. At almost the same price as toner refills you’re way better off opting for a remanufactured cartridge from a reliable vendor that makes sure all worn out parts are replaced and offers warranties so you’re covered for a year.

Is it worth it?

You need to evaluate what you’re getting for what you pay. Some toner refills have a 40% failure rate and that’s something you certainly do not want. As mentioned above for a few dollars more you’re much better off opting for a remanufactured cartridge from a trusted supplier. These suppliers ensure certified technicians replace parts and refill the right industry-standard toner specific to your printer model, so you get the best OEM-quality performance.

Quality vs. cost

Does the low-cost of a toner refill justify the print quality? If you do professional printing that goes out to customers and clients skimping on toner is a no-no. Most cheap toner refills in the market may be cheap but they don’t give you the same printing quality or clarity as a remanufactured or compatible toner cartridge would.

Printer damage

Toner refills that fall apart or malfunction can cause damage to your printer if they leak. Tiny dust-like particles can envelope the inside of your printer causing damage. This might reduce the longevity of your laser printer.

The next time you think of buying toner refills think of the above warnings and research your alternatives. You may find that remanufactured toner and compatible toner are much better, safer and equally affordable options.
